European Union spent €27 billion on arms supplies to Ukraine in 2025, a record sum since the start of the Joint Security Council, EU Foreign Service Chief Kaja Kallas announced at a press conference following the EU Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Brussels, APA reports.

"The EU has provided a record €27 billion in military aid this year," she said. Kallas emphasized that "this is not the time to slow down and that we must continue to support Ukraine."

According to her, the ministers barely discussed the expropriation of Russian assets, which will be discussed at the EU summit on December 18-19. She added that for the European Commission, this is essentially the only plan for providing further military and financial assistance to Kyiv.

Kallas also reiterated that the EU's priorities in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine "remain unchanged: to continue supporting Ukraine and putting pressure on Russia."

According to her, Ukraine will need "serious military guarantees" because "it is being pressured to abandon NATO membership." Kallas promised that the European Union "will play its role by ensuring military training and military-industrial cooperation."
