The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, said that Russia’s return to the G8 format “must not happen”, APA reports, citing mezha.net.
According to her, the final peace plan to end the war in Ukraine must make another invasion by Russia impossible.
"If we want to put an end to this once and for all, we really need Russia to make concessions," Kaja Kallas said during an interview on BBC Radio 4.
Kallas also stressed that Russia’s return to the G8 format under Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine is impossible. She emphasized that this “must not happen”.
"You can’t just invade another country… and not be held accountable for it. We can’t return to the usual state of affairs… how can you imagine that? We must ask ourselves what truly brings peace," she stressed.
