Hungary will import 600,000 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan this year, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, shared on his Facebook account, APA reports.
“Hungary became the first country to import gas from Türkiye without sharing a direct border with it. Hungarian energy companies have shares in Azerbaijan’s most important natural gas and oil fields. This year, we will import 600,000 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan, and Hungarian technology will be used in the nuclear power plant to be built in Uzbekistan. We will continue to work to make Hungary-Türkiye energy cooperation even more successful!” Szijjártó stated.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister added that new energy sources are continuously being involved in cooperation to ensure the country’s secure energy supply.
