Germany allocates €170 million to strengthen Ukraine’s energy system

Germany has allocated  €170 million to strengthen Ukraine’s energy system, APA reports.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko shared this information on her Telegram channel following a meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Heiko Thoms.

The Prime Minister stated that in addition to Germany’s contribution to the Ukraine Energy Fund, an extra  €170 million has been allocated to reinforce the country’s energy infrastructure. According to her, these funds will help improve the readiness Ukraine’s critical energy facilities for the winter season.

 During the meeting, she thanked the Federal Republic of Germany for its continued support and emphasized that Germany remains Ukraine’s largest European donor and key military assistance partner.
