Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Tsilosani has expressed regret over the participation of Armenian MPs among those who signed the resolution adopted by the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly (PA) regarding Georgia,  APA’s local bureau reports.

She accused the Armenian MPs who signed the anti-Georgian document of showing distrust toward their own prime minister.

Tsilosani noted that the resolution was signed by MPs who are hostile toward Georgians in the European Parliament, which adopts similar documents.

“By supporting a resolution that emphasizes the Georgian government’s illegitimacy, the Armenian  MPs have, in fact, demonstrated distrust toward their own prime minister. The Prime Minister of Armenia has made official and various visits to Georgia and held meetings with the government elected by the people,” the Vice-Speaker said.

She emphasized that the resolution is meaningless and devoid of substance.

It should be noted that at the latest plenary session of the Euronest PA, held in Yerevan on October 28–30, a critical resolution regarding Georgia was adopted. In the document, the parliamentary elections held in Georgia on October 26 of last year were described as “rigged,” and the government was referred to as “self-proclaimed.” In protest of this, the Georgian delegation refused to participate in the PA’s subsequent sessions.
