"We cannot depend on anyone or anything, this is our main motivation. Despite the fact that we are a small country, we believe in our capabilities, our national interests, our future and, therefore, in a policy of peace and stability. We are implementing a sensible, pragmatic policy based on existing challenges," Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said in the program "Post Analytics", APA reports.
As he noted, Georgia knows the value of Europe and, despite their unfair approach, the country is ready for dialogue.
"Despite their double standards, insults, and unfair approach, we are always ready for dialogue. We know what the price of Europe is, so we cannot refuse it and we continue this approach. We can say the same thing regarding NATO. It is not worth recalling history, what kind of participation we took in NATO missions, what attitude we had. It did not depend on us, we had to say "yes" or "no" to joining NATO - it depended on NATO, which left us in waiting mode for so long," the President of Georgia said.
