“Georgia’s strategic position strengthens the country’s coordination function, and we are taking advantage of this to maximize the country’s economic potential,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in an interview with the UAE’s Gulf News, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, Georgia is also trying to strengthen its function in the context of the Middle Corridor.
“For this purpose, we are investing heavily in infrastructure. We are building new highways covering the entire country. The construction of the highway from Tbilisi to Adjara will be completed by the end of the year. It is planned to continue the construction of highways to the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia,” I. Kobakhidze said.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of the Black Sea submarine cable for Georgia. He said that with the implementation of this project, Georgia will not only export electricity to European countries, but also become a digital center.
