"I have read some paragraphs of the draft resolution by PACE regarding Georgia. Each paragraph is false and far from the truth," the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, the resolutions adopted by PACE, which label Mikheil Saakashvili as a political prisoner, hold no value for Georgia: “Such documents have repeatedly ended in failure and have no connection with the Georgian people.”
Note that a debate regarding Georgia will be held at PACE tomorrow. The draft resolution on the country expresses deep concern about the “democratic crisis” in Georgia.
