President Zelensky, who pursues an openly hostile policy toward Georgia and the Georgian people, is not a benchmark for us, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said at a briefing, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that the main benchmark for Georgia is the Ukrainian people.
“We have repeatedly stated that despite the hostile policy pursued by the Ukrainian authorities toward the Georgian people, we remain committed to supporting the Ukrainian people. From the very first days of the war, we have been doing everything necessary to support the people of Ukraine,” the speaker added.
Papuashvili emphasized that Ukraine’s president has personally demonstrated ingratitude toward the Georgian people through various decisions.
Note that Georgia has supported the establishment of a Compensation Commission on Ukraine. Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili signed the relevant convention in The Hague.
