“The European Union is not interesting to me. The most important thing for me is the Georgian people,” said Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of the ruling “Georgian Dream” party and Mayor of Tbilisi, while commenting to journalists on the statement of European Union (EU) leaders regarding the local elections held in Georgia, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, the owners of Georgia are not some outsiders, but ordinary citizens.
“This country is governed only by the Georgian people. The people also decide who is in power and how the opposition spectrum will be represented,” K. Kaladze added.
The mayor noted that “Georgian Dream” will respond tomorrow to the statements made by EU officials.
Recall that yesterday, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, issued a critical statement regarding the local elections held in Georgia on October 4.
