Georgia is ready to continue cooperation with European structures in the implementation of the Black Sea submarine cable project, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, APA's local bureau reports.
He positively assessed the European Union's declaration of the project as a priority.
"The project is very important for us, and Georgia is actively participating in the implementation of its first stage," the Prime Minister added.
Note that the European Union has included the Georgia-Romania "Black Sea Interconnector Cable" project in the list of projects of common interest (PCI - Projects of Common Interest) and projects of mutual interest (PMI - Projects of Mutual Interest). Azerbaijan is also expected to join the project in the future.
