In the first 11 months of this year, 1,131 illegal migrants were deported from Georgia, APA’s local bureau.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced this during a government meeting.

He noted that this figure corresponds to the total number recorded over the past seven years.

Kobakhidze stated that the efficiency of the Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has significantly increased.

“There is a need to further strengthen the department, and active work is being carried out in this direction. Of course, this will impact future measures against illegal migration. According to the plan presented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at least 3,500 illegal migrants will be deported from Georgia next year,” the Prime Minister added.

The head of government emphasized that the problem of illegal migrants in Georgia will be fully resolved within 3–4 years.
