Aleksandre Tsuladze has been appointed head of Georgia’s Interests Section at the Swiss Embassy in Russia, APA’s local bureau reports.
He replaces Mamuka Merkviladze in this role.
The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed Tsuladze’s diplomatic appointment to Russia.
Tsuladze previously served as Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science, and Youth in 2024–2025.
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Russia have been suspended since the 2008 war. The interests of both countries are represented through sections at the Swiss embassies in Tbilisi and Moscow.
