A fire of unknown cause broke out in the entrance-floor apartment of a two-storey building on Umman Street in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of Istanbul, APA reports, citing Turkish media.
Firefighters, police, and emergency medical teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
During the fire, four children were taken out of the house by residents and transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Thanks to the intervention of the Emergency Situations Service, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
It is reported that three of the children who were taken to the hospital lost their lives, while one remains in serious condition.
According to the information, the children's mother was not at home at the time of the fire.
