The evacuation of civilians from border villages in the Sumy region of Ukraine has begun, said Oleg Grigorov, head of the military administration of the Sumy region, APA reports.
Residents of the Krasnopolsk region of Sumy who had previously refused to evacuate have been evacuated. Oleg Grigorov said that the evacuation of residents of border villages was the only right choice.
It should be noted that on December 20, after the Russian Army took control of the border village of Grabovsk in the Krasnopolsk region, there were reports that about 50 local residents were taken to Russia . It is noted that these residents were taken to Russia for "filtration measures". At the same time, journalists reported that Russian military units were moving towards the villages of Vysokiy and Ryasnoye, and that there were still civilians in Ryasnoye. In the evening, evacuations began from these villages as well.
