The European Parliament is opening a permanent representation office in Moldova, said President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, during her visit to Moldova, APA reports.
"This is a clear indication of our support for the Eastern Partnership countries and Moldova's accession to the European Union. This office will help Moldova maintain the momentum on its path to EU membership. As much as Moldova needs the EU, the EU needs Moldova," the President of the European Parliament said.
It should be noted that the European Parliament had previously announced on November 7 that it would open a permanent representation office in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau.
