The European Commission has transferred the ninth tranche of macro-economic assistance worth 4 billion euros to Ukraine, APA reports, citing European Commission.
It is noted that the total amount of support provided by the European Union to this country since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine is now approaching 178 billion euros.
Since the beginning of 2025, the total amount of support provided by the Commission to Ukraine within the framework of micro-economic assistance has reached 14 billion euros.
This support will help meet the growing financial needs of Ukraine, in particular in the defense sector. Of the amount transferred today, 2 billion euros will be allocated for the production and acquisition of unmanned aerial vehicles, in accordance with a mutual agreement between the European Union and Ukraine.
