The European Union cannot accept interference in the bloc's affairs, said President of the European Council Antonio Costa, expressing his opinion on the document published by the US on the national security strategy, APA reports.
"We cannot accept interference in European politics. The US cannot replace Europeans in deciding who is good and who is bad. The US cannot impose Europe's vision of freedom of expression on Europe," Costa emphasized.
He added that Russia's positive reception of Washington's new national security strategy is a worrying sign.
Note that the US national security strategy document published by the White House states the need for Washington to be the dominant power in the Western Hemisphere and the importance of "forming resistance within Europe."
