The €90 billion loan promised by the European Union (EU) to Ukraine will create an additional burden of €1.2–2 billion for Greece over the next two years, APA reports, citing the news portal pronews.gr.

According to the portal’s assessment, since Russia does not intend to pay compensation to Ukraine, the 24 EU countries that agreed to act as guarantors for the loan may ultimately be forced to repay these funds themselves. It is noted that for Greece this amount could be approximately €2 billion, or €211 per capita, taking into account a population of 9.5 million.
