The leaders of the “Coalition of the Willing,” which unites the allied countries supporting Ukraine, will hold a video conference tomorrow to discuss peace talks, Ukraine’s peace proposals, and also the “compensation loan” to be provided at the expense of Russian assets, said Paula Pinho, spokeswoman for the European Commission, APA reports.
According to her, the European Union considers the negotiations on the use of frozen Russian assets for providing a “compensation loan” for Ukraine to have become “even more relevant” against the background of peace plan discussions.
In an interview with The Guardian, Paula Pinho said that the European Union welcomes the constructive progress achieved in the discussions on Ukraine, but emphasizes that “it is critically important for Russia to pay for the destruction.”
She also noted that the meetings held in this area have shown that “there is still much work to be done.”
Note that the previous meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” was held on October 24, 2025, in London, where the participants discussed the updated plan to support Ukraine.
