The conflict in Ukraine may continue for several more years, said Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission in an interview with a group of media outlets, including the Spanish-language EFE agency, APA reports.
Kaja Kallas did not rule out the possibility that the war in Ukraine could be prolonged for several more years.
She spoke about various development scenarios: “I think the most realistic scenario is that the war will continue for several more years. Unfortunately, efforts for peace, including initiatives by US President Donald Trump, yielded no results,” Kallas said.
According to her, in the most pessimistic scenario, Ukraine may have to give up certain territories.
