A telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and French President Emmanuel Macron, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
Türkiye–France relations, the Ukraine–Russia war, and regional issues were discussed.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between the two countries and noted that Türkiye is making efforts for the war to end with a just and sustainable peace. Contacts are continuing to revive the Istanbul process.
The Turkish leader stated that diplomacy is the main tool for peace and that Türkiye will increase its support during the ceasefire and subsequent phases. The situation in the South Caucasus, Gaza, and Syria was also reviewed during the meeting.
