Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said that negotiations on a peace plan for Ukraine are progressing at a rapid pace and that continued support for Ukraine is essential, APA reports citing Ukrinform.
"Negotiations on a peace plan for Ukraine are progressing at a rapid pace. Positive steps have been taken. I have just spoken with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy by phone. We see that Russia's attacks continue every day. We discussed the need for Europe to increase pressure on Russia, ensure Ukraine can withstand the fight, and maintain energy supplies. To achieve this, Ukraine, Europe, and the United States must continue to work together," the post reads on X.
He also noted that "the unwavering commitment of this government is to continue supporting Ukraine financially, militarily, and politically. Because hostilities continue every day. In addition, it is important that President Zelenskyy looks as strong as possible at the negotiating table. This is the only chance to move closer to lasting peace and to ending years of war and destruction."
"We expect that constructive cooperation with all partners will make it possible to build on the current momentum for peace. On our side, the work has always been – and will continue to be – as substantive as possible," Zelenskyy said on Facebook.
