Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel arrived in Kyiv on 28 October for an official visit, APA reports citing European Pravda.
In a post on social media platform X (Twitter), Van Weel condemned Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine, stating: “Day after day, Russia terrorises Ukrainians with its horrific attacks. Innocent people are suffering. With winter around the corner, families are left without power and gas. My message today in Kyiv: Ukraine can count on our maximum support to fight the Russian aggressor.”
The visit comes just a day before early parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, scheduled for 29 October. The elections were called after Geert Wilders’ far-right Party for Freedom (PVV) left Prime Minister Dick Schoof’s coalition government in early June, leading to its collapse.
