New single-seat and two-seat F-16 Block 70 fighter jets purchased from the United States have arrived at Bulgaria's Graf-Ignatievo Air Base. The Bulgarian Defense Ministry announced that "the delivery of the first batch of F-16 Block 70 fighters to the Bulgarian Air Force has been completed," APA reports.
Retired Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Bulgaria's Chief of the Defense Staff, Admiral Emil Eftimov, attended the aircraft's meeting. "The Bulgarian Air Force will have a squadron of F-16 Block 70s once the remaining eight aircraft under the contract with Lockheed Martin are delivered," the Defense Ministry added.
