The mayor of Marneuli district of Georgia, Daur Ismayilov, has taken office today, APA's local bureau reports.
He was introduced to the staff of the mayor's office by Kvemo Kartli Governor Ilya Jalaganiya.
The governor wished the new mayor success in his activities and stressed the importance of coordinated cooperation between state agencies.
Daur Ismayilov expressed his gratitude to the ruling team and voters for the trust shown. He noted that the main goal for the next four years is to achieve comprehensive development of Marneuli.
Note that Daur Ismayilov was elected mayor of Marneuli by a majority of votes in the municipal elections held on October 4 as a candidate of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party.
