A citizen of Armenia born in 1984 has been detained for illegally transporting narcotic substances into Georgia, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the information, during a detailed inspection of the vehicle driven by the detained individual at the “Sadakhli” checkpoint, a particularly large amount — nearly one kilogram — of the narcotic substance “clephedrone” was discovered.
The Armenian citizen is accused of illegal circulation and possession of narcotic substances in particularly large quantities, as well as their unlawful import into the territory of Georgia. This criminal act is punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
