The ship "Midvolga 2", sailing under the Russian flag, is not registered to enter Georgian seaports, APA's local bureau reports, citing the Georgian Maritime Transport Agency.
It was noted that the information that the ship was heading to a Georgian port is not based on any facts.
"Information has been disseminated that the ship was attacked 80 kilometres off the Turkish coast. It was also reported that the ship's destination port is a Georgian port. The ship is not registered to enter Georgian seaports, and there is no notification of its approach in the "Single Maritime Window" national system," the statement says.
Note that the Turkish General Directorate of Maritime Affairs has released information that a drone strike was carried out on a Russian ship transporting sunflower oil to Georgia in the Black Sea.
