Ukraine expects a ceasefire under the US-proposed plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict by the end of 2025, Alexander Bevz, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's office, announced on the Qatari television channel Al Jazeera, APA reports.
"I think we've achieved great success. Ukraine once again expresses its gratitude to the Trump administration for its peacekeeping efforts in Geneva," Bevz said, his words translated into Arabic. "We welcome the constructive position of our American partners, and we, for our part, have been constructive as well. Therefore, it is crucial that this ongoing peace process truly becomes a step toward peace and a ceasefire by the end of this year, as the Americans propose," he added.
The adviser to Zelenskyy's chief of staff also noted that the number of points in the US peace plan for Ukraine cited in the media is "constantly changing," and the document proposed by Washington is "currently being adjusted to take into account Ukraine's proposals." Speaking about a possible meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy, Bevz expressed the opinion that the two sides will also discuss the issue of US security guarantees for Ukraine.
