Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-Economics. One of SOCAR’s main priorities for 2013 will be increase of oil extraction, President of the Company Rovnag Abdullayev said, APA-Economics reports.
Abdullayev noted that talks were being continued with BP company on stabilization of oil extraction within the framework of the Contract of the Century.
The main growth is planned on oil’s volume. According to the President, the appropriate bodies of the company were already given tasks on extraction and planning.
‘We intend to achieve growth in oil extraction from old fields by using modern technologies’, said Abdullayev.
Though he did not spoke about exact forecast on the volume of extraction, Abdullayev noted that next year oil extraction would be higher than 2012.
