Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. The second certificate on promotion of strategic investments in Turkey was given to State Oil Company of Azerbaijan’s asset Petkim. According to SOCAR, obtaining of certificates on strategic investment are given to the biggest companies investing capital in this country.
The first certificate was given to SOCAR Energy Turkey for investing in oil refinery Star on December 5, 2012. Turkish Economic Minister Zafer Chaglayan presented the certificate to SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev at the ceremony held in Chiragan hotel.
“The Republic of Turkey gives second certificate to SOCAR’s asset in Turkey Petkim for promotion of strategic investments”, SOCAR said. Petkim Executive Director Sadeddin Gorgud congratulated the collective and noted that this certificate will simplify the realization of investing considered for ethylene and TPA acid plants. Annual capacity of ethylene plant will increase by 13% after investing. TPA acid plant’s annual potential will increase to 105,000 tonnes from 70,000 tonnes. He also noted that Petkim’s annual potential will soar 3.5 mln tonnes from 3.2 mln.
