Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. From the start of production in November 1997 till the end of August 2012 – 280.1 million tonnes of oil (2067.7 million barrels) were produced at ACG.

According to ACG operator BP-Azerbaijan, 1975 tankers loaded with ACG oil were lifted from the Ceyhan Terminal by September 15, 2012.

More than 26 billion cubic meters of associated gas were delivered to Azerbaijan from 2004 till through 1H of 2012

Along with this, total investment in the ACG project by the end of 2011 was $27 billion.

From the start of ACG project in 1994 through 2011 the ACG shareholders spent more than $14 million on ACG sustainable development projects in Azerbaijan only.

86 wells were drilled on the ACG field.

As part of ACG project - 1 platform (Chirag 1) was renovated and 6 new platforms were built, one of the largest oil and gas storage and processing terminals of the world was constructed, a sophisticated web of subsea pipelines was laid at the bottom of the Caspian Sea. The construction of the West Chirag platform as part of the Chirag Oil Project (COP) is underway, with 73.1 % of work scope already completed with very high safety achievements. For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan’s world-class construction sites, COP platform fabrication work is being undertaken 100% in the country. Through construction contractors COP currently employs more than 5,500 people in total at all construction sites and 90% of these are Azerbaijani nationals.
