Transportation via main pipelines decreases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. 26.2 mln tons of oil was transported through main pipelines in January-July, 2012, down 6.1% compared to last year.

State Statistical Committee told APA that 76.7% of transportation was realized via Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan, 20.1 mln tons of oil was transported via this pipe during this period, down 5.1% from a year ago. 1,832.500 tons of oil was transported from Sangachal terminal through BTC to Turkmenistan, up 38.5% from a year ago.

Besides, during the reporting period, 11.6 bln cbm of gas was transported via main gas pipes of Azerbaijan, up 3.5% from a year ago. 21.6% of it was transported through Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasian pipeline.
