BP company has presented annual special awards to a group of the first and second year students of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. According to information, special awards program is a part of BP’s obligations for support of education’s development in Azerbaijan: ‘This program, aims to encourage the best students, specializing in oil and gas, mining, geological exploration, oil mechanics, energy, automation of production processes, for new successes’.
60 students of the State Oil Academy received awards. 30 of them are the first-year students with the highest points. They received computers by BP.
Delivering speech at the event, BP’s Regional President on Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey Rashid Javanshir noted that BP’s annual special award presentation ceremony in Azerbaijan has been directed to development of young people qualified in the oil and gas: ‘As the big oil and gas projects of our company step to next stage, composition of our staff begins to be consist completely from Azerbaijani citizens. It is our main goal and strategy on the personnel’.
