Azerbaijan decreases volume of exported oil by 10%, while increasing its value by 7%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-March, 2012, Azerbaijan exported 5,978.3 thousand tones of crude oil and 680.8 mln cubic meters of natural gas.

State Statistical Committee told APA that total cost of crude oil made $5,019,316.9 thousand, natural gas - $162,520.7 thousand. Compared to Q1 of 2011, the volume of crude oil dropped 10.1%, gas decreased by 28.2%. Nevertheless, during the reporting period, the value of each increased by 6.8% from a year earlier.

Note that, according to SOCAR and AIOC, 9,754.3 thousand tones of oil and 1.992 bln cubic meters of has was exported during January-March.
