Azerbaijan increases aluminium export by 22 times

Baku. Ali Ahmedov â€“ APA-Economics. In January-April 2012, 94% of export from Azerbaijan was crude oil, oil products and natural gas. According to State Statistical Committee, $ 7,277.4 mln-crude oil was exported from Azerbaijan and this makes 86.29% of total export. Besides, $416.563 mln-oil products, $220.414 mln-natural gas were exported during the same period.

At the same time, $76.403 mln-plant dan animal oil, $ 59.629 mln-chemical products, $45.129 mln-ferrous metals and materials, $34.916 mln- aluminium and materials, $33.452 mln-fruit-vegetable, $5.410 mln-alcoholic and soft drinks, $ 2.813 mln-cotton fiber and other goods were exported.

Most growth in export was observed in aluminium. The growth made 22 times. At the same time, chemical products increased by 2.5 times.

Alcoholic and soft drinks export rose 44.34%, fruit-vegetable â€“ 26.71%, crude oil â€“ 6.47%, plant and animal oil â€“ 2.19%.

Cotton fiber export decreased by 25.39%, ferrous metals â€“ by 22.3%, natural gas export â€“ by 14.34 and oil products â€“ by 9.07%.
