Baku hosts Regional Conference on Industrial Parks

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. With the support of UNIDO, the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan and the Government of Slovenia, a regional conference on industrial parks has today kicked off in Baku.

The goal of a two-day event - the creation of industrial parks in Europe and Central Asia, their use, investment promotion and competitiveness, eliminating gaps and exchange of experience in this field.

The event was attended by representatives of countries such as Albania, Belarus, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.

On the first day, the conference will hear reports, and the second day - organize round table discussions on topics â€œPromotion of financial and human resourcesâ€, â€œFacilitation of technological knowledge, innovation and participationâ€, â€œAchieving sustainable development through strategies, policies and programsâ€.

In addition, the event will discuss linkages between similar industrial parks in various countries to help solve common problems and in determining their future development and prospects.
