Alternative energy producers proposed to be released from taxes in Azerbaijan

Director of State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources of Azerbaijan Akim Badalov says activities in order to encourage the private sector in this sphere started immediately after the establishment of the Agency and one of the first initiatives was the release of entrepreneurs from taxes for 10 years: â€œThis period is enough for integration to economic state of those companiesâ€.

On the other hand, the tariffs will be prepared for energy, got from alternative sources for creation of conditions for participation of private sector in this sphere. Note that, in Europe, tariffs for alternative energy for 1 kW / hour varies between 11-50 euro cents.

Reminding the establishment of plant for the production of solar panels in Azerbaijan, Badalov said that the entrepreneurs can produce energy via these panels and sell it to the state.

Moreover, there will be founded Alternative Energy Cadastre in the country for determination of effectiveness of alternative energy sources. Nearly 200 observation stations will be set up for this purpose in 21 regions of the country. The creation of this cadastre will last 2 years.
