SOCAR President meets with regional manager of Dow Chemical company

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with the delegation led by Ihsan Nejipoglu, General Manager of Dow Chemical on Turkey and Central Asia.

SOCAR told APA that Abdullayev spoke about successes of the company, achieved since 1990s in oil-gas sector of Azerbaijan. He said these successes â€“ results of new oil strategy. He touched upon establishment of new chemical industrial park in Sumgayit band noted that the main purpose of it was to produce final products on the baiss of raw materials.
Speaking about important role of new oil-gas and oil-chemistry complex in the country and region SOCAR President noted that, foreign companies had a great importance in projection and construction works in this project.

In turn, I. Nejipoglu appreciated this complex and noted that Dow Chemical offered electronics, equipments in agriculture and energy sector.
He noted that, the company had enterprises that exported 5,000 types of goods to 36 countries. He also noted that, Dow Chemical interested in establishment of relations with SOCAR.
