In 2015-2020, share of wind power in total energy production will drop from 50% to 32% in Azerbaijan and it is connected with further increase of solar power. Deputy Director of the State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Resources Jamil Malikov told APA that during these years, share of solar power in total energy production will climb from 105 up to 13%, share of bioenergy will rise from 20% to 24%.
Malikov says share of renewable energy in the structure on production sources of total energy consumption made 2.53% in 2010. This figure is considered to increase up to 9.7% by 2020.
