Capital expenditures on Baku-Jeyhan pipeline to be increased by 38% this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Capital expenditures on Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan pipeline made $ 40.5 mln.

According to BP-Azerbaijan, the capital expenditures will be increased by 37.5% to $ 55.7 mln.

At present, the transportation capacity of BTJ is 1.2 mln of barrel. 180 mln tons of crude oil have been loaded to 1,742 tankers in Jeyhan and sent to world markets since the pipeline was launched. Generally, the daily highest index was 1.044 mln barrels. Approximately 185 mln tons of oil were exported. At present, BTJ transports Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and Shahdeniz condensate. Besides, Turkmen oil also is transported via BTJ.

Note that, BTJ shareholders are: «BP-Azerbaijan» (30,1%), AzBTC (25%), «Chevron» (8,9%), «Statoil» (8,71%), TPAO (6,53%), ENI (5%), «Total» (5%), «Itochu» (3,4%), Inpex (2,5%), «ConocoPhillips» (2,5%) and «Hess» (2,36%).
