Petkim and APM Terminals companies sign cooperation agreement in Istanbul

Today, Petkim and APM Terminals signed a cooperation agreement in Istanbul on long-term operation of Petkim Port, located in Aliaga, near the city of Izmir on the Aegean Coast of Turkey.
Note that, construction of Petkim Port will be completed in 2014. $350-400 mln is expected to invest in the project. During 2014-2046s the port will be operated by Dutch-based APM Terminals company.
Delivering speech at the event SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said that Azerbaijan invested $9 bn to Petkim company, so far. To him, through the phased investment plan, the village of Aliaga will become the largest oil port of the Aegean Sea: “As a result of investments, the peninsula will be the world’s largest complex for the production of petroleum products and transport integrationâ€.
