Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan create a working group for construction of oil refinery

Remind that, in mid-January, head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev paid official visit to Bishkek. There he held talks with the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. Then Atambaev asked the Minister of Energy and Industry Askarbek Shadiev to provide full assistance in the construction of a refinery in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Akeneev noted that, there were several options for the construction of refineries. The Azerbaijani side considers both construction projects - large factories and mini-mills in the north and south of Kyrgyzstan. Oil processing is proposed to bring both of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to mine. The oil refinery is to be commissioned in late 2013.
SOCAR intends to build a refinery not only to meet the needs of Kyrgyzstan in petroleum products, but also to export the fuel to neighboring China.
