Transportation via Baku-Ceyhan and Baku-Erzurum pipeline decreases last year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan transported 45.6 mln tonnes oil via main pipelines in 2011, down 8.8% compared with a year ago.
State Statistical Committee says that, ¾ part of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. 34.5 mln tons of oil was transported via this pipe last year, down 105 compared to 2010. During the reporting period, 2.1 mln tons of Turkmen oil was transported via BTC.
At the same time, 18.7 bln cubic meters gas was transported via main pipelines during the same period, up 7.1% from year ago. 4.5 bln cubic meter gas was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, down 8.2% from year earlier.
