Azerbaijan and Georgia to join efforts for shutting of atomic power stations in Armenia

Relations, perspective projects were discussed at the meeting.

Continuation of strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and AGRI projects were discussed at the meeting.

Energetic situation in the region and nuclear safety were discussed at the meeting. Natig Aliyev spoke about shutting of Metsamor Nuclear Power Station in Armenia and called Georgia to join it on this direction. He noted that, all efforts would be intensive in 2012.

Georgian representative noted that, he would discuss this issue with the President. He also noted that, this station in Armenia was really dangerous for Region.

Azerbaijani side also spoke about announcement of South Caucasus as “zone without nuclear” and Georgian side welcomed this initiative.
