According to Tariff (Price) Council, the tariff of crude oil transportation (excluding export) was reviewed during the meeting of Council’s next meeting, on the basis of appeal of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic. Consequently, transportation tariff of a ton of crude oil was determined as AZN 6 (less VAT), by taking the subordinating of North Export Pipe Line to Oil Pipelines Department, corresponding of tariffs to expenses and requirement of investing in oil pipeline system into consideration. New tariffs came into force on January 1, 2012.
Note that, previous crude oil transportation tariff via North Export Pipeline made AZN 2.6.
