Baku - APA-Economics. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Simeon Djankov will reportedly submit a project envisaging Bulgaria’s withdrawal from the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline project on Wednesday, Novinite reported.

According to reports of the BGNES news agency, the proposal will be put up for discussion at Wednesday’s session of the Council of Ministers.

Bulgaria will try to terminate its participation in the trilateral agreement by mutual consent.

If the request is rejected, the country will pull out of the oil pipeline project in 12 months, as one of the clauses of the contract stipulates.

A Wednesday publication in Standard daily claims that Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will break the news about Bulgaria quitting Burgas-Alexandroupolis in person and that the step is motivated by financial reasons.
