SOCAR buys branch o Exxon Mobil Company

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Today, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Exxon Mobil Central Europe Holding GmbH company have signed a deal on purchase and sale of share of Swiss branch Esso Schweiz GmbH company, in Zurich.

According to SOCAR, SOCAR intends to continue the commercial operation of Esso Switzerland via its new SOCAR Energy Switzerland Company.

Company will operate under the previous ESSO brand during 12 months after changing of its owner. All current contract liabilities and production processes will remain unchanged during the transit period. After this period, the company will operate under the brand of SOCAR.

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev noted that, SOCAR would render qualitative services to Swiss consumers via fuel types and other service networks in petrol stations.

According to contract, along with Esso Switzerland, retail sale network including more than 170 petrol stations, companyâ€™s organization engaging in fuel marketing for industry and wholesale clients, aviation fuel stations in Geneva and Zurich Airports shares of Switzerland supply and distribution company were put at SOCARâ€™s disposal.
