Rasul Guliyev: I do not know what the present opposition wants

Rasul Guliyev noted that only one discussion was held and the process is not over yet and considers if there is serious approach to the issue, at least the three-month process of discussions and decision is ahead.
Rasul Guliyev criticized boycotting of the debates on Electoral Code by Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Musavat, Azerbaijan Democratic Party and Azerbaijan Liberal Party and said they have no special status in Azerbaijan.
“This is one of the 50 parties registered or not registered in Azerbaijan. I have never thought of cooperating with them, I always wanted the opposition to unite under the same flag,” he said.
Rasul Guliyev said he will ask Open Society Party officials to start debates on establishing conditions for elections again.
Guliyev saying that they are planning to hold the meeting in early December regards that opposition should participate with the unique decision.
“I can not say how many parties and public organizations will unite. But organization should be established in international organizations. I wish everybody to participate in these discussions,” he said.
Rasul Guliyev commenting on opposition’s not reaching an agreement said that opposition does not agree only on the issue regarding Election Code, but in any case.
“I do not know what oppositional criterion of the opposition is composed of, I do not know what they want concretely. Establishment of election commissions is the main theme, as if it is of a great significance.
Guliyev said that it is abnormal case that some people admitting that democracy is the only way gather and could not make a decision. /APA/
