Turkish President Abdullah Gul starts addressing Azerbaijani parliamentarians

APA reports that greeting the visitor Ogtay Asadov said the relations between the two countries develop successfully. He noted that the interparliamentary relations between the two countries are at satisfactory level. The speaker underlined that the parliament has about 70 friendship groups, but friendship group with Turkey is the biggest of all.
“Each member of the parliament considers himself as a member of the Turkish interparliamentary friendship group,” he said.
Ogtay Asadov added that economic relations between the two counties are improving.
“Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey was AZN 773mln. last year, while this figure has surpassed AZN 1bn. within the nine months of this year,” he said.
Abdulla Gul expressed his gratitude for sincere reception and said he feels at home.
The president said the relations like between Azerbaijan and Turkey are rarely met in the world. Turkish president said they attach great importance to the development of the interparliamentary relations. The meeting continued without presence of journalists.
